An invitation to the founding class

Your new
golf club.

Charter NewClub's Northeast Ohio chapter. Founding membership opens June 1, 2026.

Where we are

American golf is split
between two camps.

On one side: private country clubs — the best courses in the country sitting behind six-figure initiation fees, decade-long waitlists, and unwritten rules about who belongs.

On the other: public golf — democratic, sure, but fragmented. Five-hour rounds. Group texts to fill a foursome. Never quite the same people twice.

Neither serves what most golfers actually want: a real community, real competition, and meaningful access to great golf.

There's a third way. It's been quietly building for eight years.

The third way

A private club.
Without the real estate.

NewClub is a virtual private golf club through city-based chapters — officially recognized by the USGA and PGA of America. Powered by our private mobile app. Built on people, not property. Eight years in, two chapters strong, with Northeast Ohio next.

— A modern golf society, for the soul of the game.

Who belongs

Two paths
to the founding class.

NewClub has always been built on a particular kind of golfer — one who shows up, gives back, and plays well with others. Founding members come from two paths. Both matter to the club, and the club is better for having both.

Path one

If you already have
a home club.

You don't need access. You have it. What NewClub offers you is something different — the chance to extend the soul of the game beyond your gate.

Founding members with a home club are patrons of the movement. Host a NewClub gathering at your course when you're able. Broaden your golf community beyond your member roster. Lend your name — and your standing — to a new model of American golf.

The most memorable round you played last year wasn't at your home club. It was somewhere new, with someone new. NewClub is built for that round, multiplied.

Path two

If you're looking
for one.

You're tired of texting eight people to fill a foursome. You're done playing the same handful of courses on repeat. You want what a club should be — a community of golfers who respect the game and each other.

Standing weekend tee times. Weekly games scheduled two to three weeks in advance. Member-only competitions. Bucket-list trips already on the calendar. And the people to play it all with.

The app does the legwork. You show up and play.

Why not

Why you
shouldn’t join.

You're only here looking for golf discounts. You only care about playing the top 100 courses and checking them off your list. You don't repair your ball marks.

You care more about the score you shoot than the people you play with. You generally don't play well with others.

NewClub is intentionally small, intentionally vetted, and intentionally not for everyone. That's the point.

FAQs

Questions, answered.

NEO's chapter will play pre-scheduled tee times at the region's best private, public, and semi-private courses. Per NewClub policy, we don't publish course partners publicly — that's how we protect those relationships and our access. Founding members see the schedule in the NewClub app on day one.
Yes. NewClub is a private club without real estate, officially recognized by the USGA and PGA of America.
Founding members charter the NEO chapter. You get the lowest dues NewClub will ever offer in Northeast Ohio — locked at $1,300/year for the life of your membership. You also get first pick of standing tee times, first crack at the 2026 trips, and a voice in shaping the chapter's first traditions.
$1,300 per year — locked, forever. You pay a $250 deposit to hold your spot, then $1,050 by June 1, 2026. That $250 is applied toward your first-year dues, not on top of them. Established-chapter members in Chicago and Atlanta pay $1,650/yr; the founding rate is never re-offered.
Founding members with a home club have a standing invitation — never an obligation — to host NewClub gatherings at their course. That might be a few member-guest rounds a season, a chapter event, or a casual round with members you'd like to know. It's how we keep the club tied to the region's best courses without trying to own any of them. The hospitality is the membership.
Complete a short online application (five minutes) and provide two references — people who can speak to your character on and off the course. NewClub's membership council reviews your application, and on approval you pay your $250 deposit, download the app, and join the founding class.
NewClub also offers a National membership ($350/yr) for golfers outside an active chapter — same community, plus the trips. But if you're in NEO and you care about local golf, founding membership is the move. There's only one founding class.
