NewClub Golf Society To Host 'Largest Ever' Virtual Golf Tournament

February 14, 2023

Chicago, Illinois — NewClub Golf Society announced earlier this month the plans for its second annual Quest for the Crown golf tournament, a year-long, remote competition for its members.

With the assistance of Golf Genius, 150+ teams of approximately four players each will compete in the largest virtually scored tournament ever attempted by a golf club. Players are responsible for recording at least three rounds throughout the year at any USGA-registered 18-hole golf course worldwide.

“If the last few years taught us anything, it’s that, we need to provide new and innovative ways for the community to connect,” said Matt Considine, NewClub’s Founder and CEO. “We have members from around the globe competing and conversing in this new format. It’s equitable, engaging, and far more entertaining than your typical game with 500+ friends involved.”

Starting on March 1 and wrapping up on November 30, the tournament will utilize a Stableford scoring system. Each player’s active handicap at the time of declaration of play will be considered, making Quest an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Teams will compete for prizes from well-known brands such as MacKenzie, Jones, and more.

As new members join the society, they will be automatically drafted onto existing teams at random. Interested parties can learn more about NewClub and submit an application form at www.newclub.golf/memberships.
