This is a truly special week of golf.
We’ll spend four nights in Dornoch, working our way through some of the best golf in the Highlands before heading south to Aberdeen for two nights. Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, Old Petty, Brora, Golspie, Moray and Royal Aberdeen are all on the schedule, with The Open waiting for us in St Andrews on the final day.
We’ve kept the trip pretty simple. Two places to stay, a private driver throughout, and a lot of time on the golf course. There’s room for a good lunch, a walk around town, a few drinks after the round and, hopefully, plenty of stories by the end of the week.
And then we’ll finish the trip the right way: a day at The Open in St Andrews.
Highland coast · four nights
Royal DornochChampionship Course
You go a long way north for Dornoch, and that is exactly the point. It sits above a curl of the North Sea at the top of the Highland mainland — a place people cross oceans to play and then talk about for the rest of their lives. This is home for the first four nights: walk into town for dinner, walk back out to the first tee.
On the Moray Firth · 36 holes
Cabot HighlandsCastle Stuart & Old Petty
A full day of it, on two courses running along the Moray Firth. Play Castle Stuart in the morning, break for lunch in the Art Deco clubhouse looking out over the water, then head back out on Old Petty in the afternoon. Thirty-six holes, one glorious stretch of coastline, no reason to rush.
Two classics north of Dornoch
Brora & GolspieA day on the small-town links
The quiet heart of the trip. Two old Highland links, a short hop north, played back to back. Brora is the kind of course where sheep still graze the fairways and low stone dykes stand in for signage — pure, unhurried, gloriously of its place. Golspie follows in the afternoon: beach, heath and woodland in a single loop.
Lossiemouth to the Granite City
Moray & AberdeenOld Course, Moray · Balgownie Links
Check out of Dornoch and play your way south. First the Old Course at Moray, hard against the sea at Lossiemouth, before the driver runs the group down to Aberdeen and the new base. The next afternoon belongs to Royal Aberdeen’s Balgownie Links — a tumbling run of dunes that has tested the best in the game.
A day at
The Open.
The week ends where the game began. A shuttle carries the group down to St Andrews for a day at The Open Championship — tickets included in the trip. Afterwards, on to Edinburgh Airport, with the option to extend on your own.

Transfers for the whole trip — arrival into Dornoch, every course day, and Dornoch down to Aberdeen.
A day at The Open
Shuttle to St Andrews and entry to The Open Championship — tickets are part of the trip cost.
Lunch at Cabot
A break between rounds in the Art Deco clubhouse, overlooking the Moray Firth.
Departure shuttle
A run to Edinburgh Airport at the end of the week, with the option to extend your stay on your own.
On your own: International airfare and any personal extension after the trip. The week begins on arrival in Scotland and ends at Edinburgh Airport.
